Larry Ray Nicolls

Larry Ray Nicolls, 70, of Sioux City, IA passed away September 19, 2026. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 25, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at Glad Tidings Lighthouse Church, 410 E. 10th St, South Sioux City, NE. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Larry was born on August 25, 1956 in Sioux City, IA to Harold and Ardith (Thompson) Nicolls. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and gambling. Larry worked as a garbage collector for the City of Sioux City and later doing handyman jobs.

Those left to honor his memory include his children: Carla (Paul) Marshall, Amy (Shane) Derochie, Elizabeth Nicolls, Charles Nicolls, Chad Nicolls, and L.J. Nicolls; 15 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers: Dwayne and Tom Nicolls.

He is preceded in death by his parents; several brothers and sisters; and granddaughter, Grace Cumpton.
