Larry Mark Loyd, 70, of Sioux City, IA, formally of Hornick, IA, passed away on September 7, 2024.  A celebration of his life will be held Thursday, September 12 from 1-6:00 p.m. at Riverside Park, Shelter #5, with a service at 2:00 p.m.  Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Larry was born on September 3, 1954, in Onawa, IA to Eldred and Marjorie (Hudgel) Loyd.  He attended Westwood Community Schools.  Larry was united in marriage to Sharon Robley on December 19, 1972, and to this union they had 2 children, Jennifer and Kelley.  They later divorced and he married Susan Carrier.

Larry owned and operated Pit Stop Bar in Sloan, IA, for 6 years, and was also the owner/operator for Weinrich.  Larry was also a forklift driver at Elastomer Engineering for 6 years, worked at NAPA Auto in Onawa, IA, and most recently retired from driving a taxi with EZ Cab.  Larry loved meeting all types of people throughout his careers.  He enjoyed NASCAR, going to dirt track and sprint car races, live bands, and listening to anything rock and roll.

Those left to honor his memory include his daughters: Jennifer (Larry) Groethe and Kelley (Jeremy) Davidson; grandchildren: Dylan Corbin, Nolan (Carli Biesel) Corbin, Caleb (Chloe) Corbin, Aaron Corbin, Chloe Bruder, Carli Bruder; sister, Janet (Stan) Golka; special friends: Cathy Morris, Ranee Jester, Cheryl Raymond Terrell, and Sissy Trostheim; brother-in-law, Dale Ronfeldt; nephews: David Sinn, Adam Ronfeldt, Ben Ronfeldt, and Caleb Golka; nieces: Lindsey Coley and Christina Golka.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Judy (Ron) Sinn, Karen Ronfeldt, and Mary Francis and nieces; Dana Sinn and Dianne Sinn.
