Larry N. Kleve, 74, of Dakota City, Nebraska, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at his residence. Services will be held 10:30 am, Monday, February 6, 2017 at Dakota City United Methodist Church with Rev. Gina Gile officiating. A visitation will family present will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.
Burial will be in Dakota City Cemetery.
Larry was born on May 16, 1942 in Sanborn, Iowa to William and Lucille (Eichmann) Kleve. He grew up in Sioux City and attended Sioux City schools. Larry married Linda Neal on November 23, 1963. Together they moved to Syracuse, New York where Larry was a carpet layer. While in New York, their two sons were born, Jeff and Robert. The family moved back to Dakota City, NE when the boys were young. Larry worked at IBP/Tyson until his retirement.
Larry loved traveling, and would take his family all over the country. Spending time with his family was his favorite thing to do.
Survivors include his spouse, Linda Kleve ; sons, Jeff (Tessa Shanks) Kleve and Robert (Ann) Kleve both of Sioux City; brothers, Doyle (Peg) Kleve and Ivan Kleve; sisters, Joyce Guy and Sheila (Max) Hoffer; grandchildren, Scott and Sarah; great grandchildren, Callamarie, Ayden, and Lilly.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Roger and Virgil; sisters, Beverly and Mary Ellen; and granddaughter, Jasmine.
