Larry Dale Johnson, 76, of Sioux City, IA, passed away surrounded by his family on October 27, 2025.  A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., with a visitation 1 hour prior at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Larry was born on September 27, 1949, in Richmond, CA to Dale and Nora Johnson.  He graduated from high school in Richmond, CA and worked as a Union Pipe Fitter for several years in California.  He was united in marriage to Diane Tondreau on April 9, 1988, in Lake Tahoe.

Together they enjoyed traveling, going on cruises, movies on Sundays, trips to Costco, and their "favorite" 32-year-old African Grey parrot, Buddy.  Larry loved his family and watching his children and grandchildren participate in sports.  Larry had a talent for building things and working on cars.  He will be deeply missed.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Diane Johnson; children: Daniel Becker, David, Becker, Dustin (Marsha)  Craft, Amy Anderson, and Jason Johnson; grandchildren: Matt, Dillon, Drake, Makadn, Nick, Dalton, Jimmy, Clara, and Kylah; and his brother, Steve Johnson.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Mike; and grandmother, Rosa.
