Larry D. Jones, 67, of Sioux City, Iowa died Sunday, November 15, 2020 at his home in Sioux City. There will be a private burial. Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City is assisting the family with arrangements.

Larry was born March 8, 1953 in Sapulpo, Oklahoma the son of Oliver and Louisa (James) Jones. He grew up in Oklahoma, moving to the Sioux City area in the 1980’s. Larry met Carol Blackford June 10, 1994, and was married April 19, 1996. Together they made their home in Des Moines for a few years, returning to Sioux City in 2001. Over the years, Larry worked as a CNA in the area.

Larry loved reading the Bible, going to Church and preaching in the park.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Jones of Sioux City; daughter, Tempest Faber, and five sons, Larry Jones Jr., Jermain Jones, Xavier Avis, Xerxes Avis and Tre Faber; three step-children, Herbert (Crystal) Lias Jr., Stephanie Lias and Joshua Lias.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers and sisters.
