Larry A. Case, 75, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at a local hospital. Services will be held 10:30 am, Friday, September 9, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Armand Bertrand officiating. A visitation will be held from 5-7 with family present throughout and a vigil service at 7:00 pm, on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave.
Larry was born on September 11, 1940 in Belden, NE, the son of Otto and Marjorie (Soverign) Case.
He married Mary Ann Spieler on September 25, 1965 in Marcus, IA. Larry was in the United States Army and served in Korea following the war.
Larry was a truck driver in the siouxland area for most of his life. As an avid golfer, in retirement, Larry would golf five days a week. He was a member of the Larry Levering Golf Group.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Case of Sioux City; son, Stacy Case and his wife Melissa of Pioneer, CA; daughter, Debi Merkle and her husband Wayne of Grafton, WI; brother, Lyle Case of Sioux City; sisters, Loretta Cook of Belden, NE and Lynette Carlson of Sioux City; and grandchildren, Brett and Alex Case, and Jacob, Nicholas, Zachary, and Joshua Merkle.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; stepbrother, James Donner; and mother and father-in-law, Martin and Loretta Spieler.
