Laresa "Resa" Marie Jones

Laresa “Resa” Marie Jones, 36, of Sioux City, IA, passed away January 4, 2026. A funeral service will be held Friday, January 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunnybrook Community Church. Visitation will be Thursday, January 15 from 4-7:00 p.m. at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Laresa was born on March 15, 1989 in Sioux City, IA to Troy Jones and Traci Burgart. She graduated from North high school. She went to massage school as well as worked at a local nursing home, Jolly Time Popcorn and Starbucks. She cherished her daughter Luxi, who was the love of her life. She enjoyed painting, woodworking, music, art, outdoors, fishing, poetry, playing the guitar, going to church, and hanging out with loved ones.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Luxi Bolles; parents, Troy (Antonette) Jones and Traci (Loren) Van Der Vliet; siblings: Christian (Caitlynn) Van Der Vliet, Kelsey (Jose) Briseno, Carissa (Memo) Ortiz, Talesa (Dylan) Kvols, Rayne Jones, and Tabitha Van Der Vliet.

She is preceded in death by her grandma, Susan Rhymer and grandpas: Raymond Jones and Lyle Van Der Vliet.
