Kurt D. Stalcup, 65, of Sioux City, Iowa died peacefully, June 5, 2017 with his family by his side. As per his wishes, his body will be cremated and his final resting place will be in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City is helping the family with arrangements.

Kurt was born in Des Moines, Iowa the son of Robert and Betty (Duffy) Stalcup. He grew up in Rock Rapids, graduating from Central Lyon High School in 1970. Kurt lived and worked throughout the Midwest. He enjoyed collecting Harley Davidson memorabilia, camping and fishing.

Survivors include two daughters; Heather (Bart) Zediker, and Sylest Stalcup both of Sioux City; six grandchildren; Jadyn Zediker, Rylie Zediker, Chase Zediker, Hope Gee, Treyton Dunbar, and Jasmyn Dunbar; two sisters; Kris (Jeff) Koch of Lawton, IA., and Poodie Moriston of Sioux City, IA, one brother, Kregg Stalcup of Sioux City, IA; his extended family in Minnesota; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Kurt is preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Jesse Westveer.
