Kim Ellen Henshaw, 70, of Sioux City, IA passed away surrounded by her family on May 27, 2025.  A funeral Service will be Friday, May 30 at 10:30 a.m. at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. Burial will be at Congregational Cemetery in Santee, Nebraska. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5-7:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Kim was born on December 26, 1954, in Sioux City, IA, to Jack and Donna (French) Pinney. She grew up in Sioux City with four brothers and five sisters and graduated from North High School. She went on to pursue a degree in cosmetology and later worked as a billing coordinator for various companies and retired as a receptionist for Biolife.

Kim married Michael Henshaw October 18, 1974, in Sioux City. Together, they shared nearly 44 years of marriage and raised five children.

Kim loved the Lord above all else. She was a devoted child of God and took the time to teach others—whether through street preaching or door-knocking—always carrying a servant's heart. Her love for her family was selfless. Kim cherished spending time with her loved ones, especially when cooking meals big enough to feed an army. She was handy around the house, able to fix anything, known for her intelligence, joyfulness, and upbeat personality. She was a beautiful peacemaker who never judged others, Kim’s kindness and warmth will be deeply missed by many. She was an active member of the Light House Baptist Church of Sioux City where she played the piano.

Those left to honor her memory include her children: Greg (Melissa) Henshaw, Sienna (Randy) Guy, Elissa (Matthew) Mickelson, Rebecca (Steven) Wager, and Michelle (Chris) Wentz; her brothers-in-law: Kim (Jane) Henshaw and Kent (Sherry) Henshaw; her siblings: Joanne Pierson, Delno John Pinney (Kathy), Kathy Baker, Terri Huff (Tim), Jim Pinney (Brenda), David Pinney (Christine), Patrick Pinney, Tay Pinney, Mary Christi Pinney; many nieces & nephews; 19 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Michael.
