Kevin Joseph Watkins, age 59, of South Sioux City, Nebraska passed away Sunday October 6, 2013 at a local hospital.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 am Friday October 11, 2013 at Waterbury Funeral Service with Father Michael Erpelding officiating. A military flag presentation will be held at the conclusion of the service by the United States Navy. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Kevin was born on August 31, 1954 in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Hollas N and Doris A. (Chase) Watkins Jr. He attended St Boniface grade school and graduated from Bishop Heelan High School with the class of 1972. Upon his graduation he became a member of the United States Navy stationed in Hawaii and San Diego, California.

During his time in the service, he was united in marriage with Debbie Marshall, and to this union three children were born. The couple later divorced. Kevin worked for several different marketing companies and Department Stores during his lifetime.

Kevin was a loving caring man, who was very family oriented, he loved to fish, watch football on television and enjoyed being a beach bum.

He is survived by his mother Doris Watkins of Sioux City, his three sons: Christopher and wife Isabel of California, Freeman and his wife Christy of Sioux City, and Jeremy of Tennessee. He is also survived by four brothers: Steve of South Sioux City, David and Tom of Sioux City, and Jeff of Tea, South Dakota, his five sisters: Mary Saunders of South Sioux City, Susan Moore of Wisconsin, Carrie Rustin of Sioux City, Judy Kunze of Underwood, Iowa, and Julie Carrier of Sioux City and his five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death y his father, two brothers Timothy and John, and a sister Terri.
