Kevin Lynn Sheridan, 66, of Salix, IA, passed away February 1, 2026. There will be a private family service. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff.
Kevin was born on April 12, 1960 in Alta, IL to John Floyd Sheridan Jr. and Marlene (Penfold) Sheridan. He graduated in 1979 from Northwestern High School in Mellette, SD. He worked as a trucker for many years, most recently for Sioux City Engineering Company. Kevin had a passion for being outdoors and was always working on projects. He enjoyed fixing and working on all types of vehicles, especially racecars. A devoted football fan, his love for the Kansas City Chiefs was well known. In his free time, Kevin dedicated his life to his family, especially his three children and seven grandchildren who meant everything to him.
Above all, Kevin tried his best as a father- teaching his children everything he could prepare them for life. Though he is no longer with us, he will always remain present through the lessons he taught, the values he instilled, and the love he leaves behind.
Those left to honor his memory include his children: Jessica (Ryan) Marshall, Amanda (Christan) Habeger, and John Sheridan; grandchildren: Karsyn, Kyler, Kynnidee Kleinberg, Gabriella, Annalese, Dravyn, and Mayleigh Bruce; siblings: Verdelle (Sue) Sheridan, Marilyn (Mike) Johnson, Nancy Sheridan, Floyd (Di) Sheridan, Corey (Kathy) Sheridan, Sharla Sheridan, Ferlin Sheridan, and Danelle Sheridan; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Sheldon “Walt” Sheridan; and sister, Barbara Ann Sheridan.
