Kenneth “Kenny” Jensen, 71, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Touchstone Living Center. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 12 at Waterbury Funeral Service with Rev. Gary Harris officiating. Visitation will be held 2-5 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service.
Kenny was born February 15, 1941, in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Louie and Ruby Jensen. He attended Sioux City public schools. Kenny worked at Alfs Manufacturing from 1968, until retiring in 1996 for health reasons. Kenny married Gwen Artz on January 7, 1972 in Elk Point, South Dakota.
Kenny enjoyed camping, fishing, and collecting things. He loved spending time with family, especially his grandkids. He was always busy, from the time he woke up until he went to bed at night.
Survivors include his wife, Gwen, sons Terry and Angela Jensen of Mississippi, and Robert McKnight of Sioux City, daughters Carol and Dean Williams of Sioux City, Tressa and Don Fischer of South Sioux City, brothers Keith and Rae Jensen, and Louie Dean and Liz Jensen both of Sioux City, 11 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter Mary Ann, 1 grandchild, 1 sister, and 6 brothers.
