Kenneth W. Hulstein, 70 of Sioux City, died Thursday, April 6, 2017 at a local hospital. Memorial Service will be held 11:00am Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Visitation will we be held one hour prior at the funeral home.

Kenneth Wayne Hulstein was born on December 26, 1946 in Sioux City, Iowa. He was adopted as an infant by the late Stephen and Gertude (Wesselink) Hulstein.

Kenneth quit school after the 5th grade and works for Stofern for a time and then got hired on with Crystal Tip Ice Machine until leaving in 1982. He then worked for Graves Construction.

He then moved to Denver, Colorado and worked for an Ice Machine Company for 2 years. Kenneth then moved to Arizona and work for Mobile Mini Storage System from 1990 until 1992. He moved back to Iowa and worked for Hospers Packing Plant. He then moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota where he received his Social Security disable judgment. Kenneth lived in Sioux Falls from 1995 until he moved to Sioux City, Iowa in 2004. Kenneth lived there until his death.

Kenneth then worked with the Senior Companion Program in Sioux City, Iowa from March 2010 until September of 2016 when he was diagnosed with cancer.

He Kenneth is survived by four nieces and multiple cousins.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and sister Myra Jongma Stewart.
