Obituary

Kenneth W. Clark (Butch), 72 of Sioux City, died Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Sioux Falls VA Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.


Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 14th at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. Michael Erpelding officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with military rites by the United States Air Force. Family visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m with a prayer service @7 pm. Tuesday, with the family present 6 to 8 pm at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Avenue.


Kenneth William Clark was born July 30, 1943 at Ft. Riley, Kansas, the son of Kenneth and Joyce (Vreugdenhil) Clark. The family later settled in Sioux City, and Butch attended Central High school in Sioux City. He enlisted in the Air Force on April 3, 1961, and was honorably discharged in 1965. He was a Vietnam War veteran. Butch then graduated from WITCC, with a degree in meat cutting. On October 27, 1959 he was married to Janice Moritz. Butch most recently worked at Needham in Sioux City until his early retirement due to his health.


Butch loved to play cards, bowl and golf. He enjoyed listening to music and also playing pool. He was a avid Nebraska Cornhusker fan. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and the American Legion.


Butch is survived by his sons, Kevin Clark of Hinton, David Clark of Sioux City, his daughters Kim (Duane) Clark, Kris (Ron) Sudtelgte of Sioux City; his step-sons, Jim (Tami) Tieck of Sioux City, Jerry Tieck of Houston, Texas, Alan (Michelle) Mast of Salix and Tom (Annette) Mast of Sioux City; his step-daughters, Vickie (Gene) Rose of Sioux City and Amber (Russ) Gray of Chatsworth, Iowa; 9 grandchildren, Armando, Rueben, Geoffrey (Corissa), Nadine, Cody, Seth, Kyle, Chance and his “buddy boy” Mason, 9 great grandchildren, Dominic, Skie, Jade, Addisyn, Chloe; Lilli, Emery, Kayden and Jaxon; and his along with numerous step grandchildren, sisters Sherry Bruneau and Cindy Olson of North Sioux City, SD and Debbie (Warren) Clemon of Sioux City several nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Mike Clark, brother in-law, Dick Bruneau and a nephew, Rick Bruneau.
