Kenna Mae Owens, 84, of Sioux City, IA, passed away surrounded by her family on August 7, 2024.  A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation 1 hour prior at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Kenna was born on December 7, 1939, in Sioux City, IA to Kenneth and Nellie Mae (Watterson) Keairns.  She was united in marriage to Wayne Owens on February 1, 1958.  She worked at The Normandy, Green Gables, Kreskie Soda Fountain, Eureka Vacuums as a Salesperson, & Shoppers Enterprises as outside salesperson until retiring take care of her husband.

She enjoyed going to thrift stores, the Goodwill, casinos, baking and canning.  She was a long-time member of Wesley Global Methodist Church.

Those left to honor her memory include her children: Terry Lee Stangl, Russell Owens, Laura (Bruce) Duerksen, Karen (Dennis) Wright, son-in-law, Bud Larsen; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings: Donnie & (Marilyn) Keairns, Barbara & (Jack) Smith, Diana & (Bill) Butler, Carol & (Jim) Lane, Bob & (Donna) Keairns, Dorothy & (Roy) Dill, Harry & (Ruth) Keairns, Neal & (Jeannette) Keairns, Bill & (Lori) Keairns, Ken & (Nancy) Keairns, Jim & (Kathy) Keairns, Steven & (Lorraine) Keairns, Sue & (Terry) Hubert, Scott & (Krista) Keairns.

She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Jodi Larsen.
