Ken Clarke Jasperson, 78, of Kingsley, IA passed away June 19, 2025, at Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD surrounded by family. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 4 - 8:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m. at the Kingsley Community Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.
Ken was born on September 16, 1946, in Brookings, SD to Orville and Alice (Clarke) Jasperson. He graduated from Vermillion High School and enlisted in the United States Army in 1969. He was a radiology x-ray tech in Bad Kreuznach, Germany before he was honorably discharged. Ken was united in marriage to Julie Holzman on September 30, 1972, at the Kingsley Methodist Church. Ken drove truck as an owner-operator for over 20 years making several trips across the United States, seeing many states and parts of the country. In 1995 he went to work for the City of Kingsley as a maintenance worker, retiring in 2015. Ken loved spending time in Platte, SD, fishing for walleye. He enjoyed rebuilding pick-ups, tractors and Cushman scooters
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Julie Jasperson; son, Jason (Tonya) Jasperson, Carter and Carson; daughter, Melissa (Jeremy) Brown, Jack and Henry; and sister-in-law, Cathe Feddersen; and his best friend, Jett.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws: Wayne and Fern Holzman; and brother- in- law, Vince Feddersen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kingsley Ambulance, Kingsley Fire Dept or the Kingsley Legion Post 140.
