Kelly Jean (Mann) Salazar entered into God’s full presence on Monday, March 5, 2018 at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center in Sioux City.
Funeral Services will be held 6:30pm Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Heartland Community Baptist Church, with Rev. Gene Stockton officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be at 4:00pm Thursday, March 8, 2018 at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. Flowers and condolences may be sent to 1923 W. 4th St., Sioux City.
Kelly was born on February 15, 1964 in Sioux City, Iowa to Lorna Waddell and Clifford Mann. She married Juventino in Austin, Texas on Oct. 20, 1983. Kelly and Juventino eventually returned to Sioux City to continue their lives. Kelly was easily able to produce a laugh or smile from those around her. Fiercely intelligent and quick-witted, Kelly was never afraid to tell the truth. Her brilliant spirit will be remembered by those who knew her as a light that will never go out.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Juventino Salazar; children, Alma Griffin (Tyler), Juaquin Salazar, Miguel Salazar, and Brittney Salazar (Matt); 7 grandchildren; Maxwell and Malcolm Turner, Midaijah and Kalaia Salazar, Jasmine Mendoza, and Emrie and Jack Griffin; parents Lorna Waddell and Clifford Mann; and brother, Danny Mann.
Kelly was preceded in death by her son, Juventino Jr., and grandmother, Pearl.
