Kelly S. DeGeest

Kelly S. DeGeest, 66 of Salix, Iowa passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family. Per Kelly’s wishes she will be cremated and no services will be held at this time.

Kelly was born in Sioux City, Iowa on August 26, 1959 to Floyd and Beverly (Black) Skinner. She graduated from a Sioux City School and became a Homemaker. Kelly was a wonderful mother to her three children, always there for them. On August 26, 1985 Kelly married Mike DeGeest.

She loved spending time with her family. Kelly also loved dogs, she would breed them.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Mike, 2 sons, Jerry DeGeest and Rocky DeGeest, daughter, Tara (Cory) Moss, three brothers: Michael DuFrene-Skinner, Randy Skinner, and Clay Skinner, sister, Melanie Parry, and two grandchildren, Aaron Moss and Elexis Moss.

Kelly is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Beverly.
