Kelby Sean Hafits, 36, of Sioux City, IA, passed away March 29, 2025 at a local hospital.  There will be no services at this time.  Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Kelby was born on June 3, 1988 in Sioux City, IA to John Carter and Lila Hafits. Kelby grew up in Sioux City and enjoyed playing soccer and was a first degree black belt.  He was an avid gamer, being one of the top players in the world. Although Kelby was a little shy and wasn’t very social, he was incredibly insightful and cared about others.  He was polite, kind hearted, respectful, and humble.  He will be missed.

Those left to honor his memory include his parents; John Carter and Lila Hafits; siblings: Lisa Terrien, Christopher De Kok, Shannon Ballantyne, Renee De Kok, Alisha Hafits, and Kaylé Hafits; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
