Kay Lorraine (Janson) Wieck, 70, of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Avenue. Visitation 4-8 pm Monday, with a 7 pm Prayer Service at the funeral home.

Kay was born January 8, 1944, the daughter of Edward and Edith (Phillips) Janson.
She was raised in Sioux City, Iowa where she attended school but discontinued her education after the death of her mother.

In 1961, Kay married Robert D. Fox. The marriage ended in divorce. In 1970, Kay married Gary R. Wieck. The marriage ended in divorce. While raising her children in Sioux City, Iowa, Kay worked for businesses such as Slick's Place, Hardee's, the Sioux City Sue, the Bell of Sioux City and then returned to Hardee's where she retired in November of 2013.

The most important thing in Kay's life was her family. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, she loved fishing and gardening.

She is survived by her five daughters and one son: Lori (Fox) Goulette of Florida, Sheila (Fox) Raye of Florida, Debbie (Fox) Sewalson of Sioux City, Iowa, Mark Fox of Sioux City, Iowa, Wendi (Wieck) Kinnaman, of Sioux City, Iowa, and Annette Wieck of Sioux City, Iowa. Three brothers and one sister: Denise Janson, Davie Janson, Gary Janson and Sue Ann (Janson) Mueller. 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert D. Fox and Gary R. Wieck.
