Kawliga J. Leverett, 41, of Alton, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, in Sioux City, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.
Kawliga was born October 17, 1984, in Alton, Illinois, to Ricky and Justine Leverett. On October 20, 2012, Kawliga married his wife, Krystle.
For 20 years, Kawliga worked for Wood River Glass, where he was known as a hardworking and dedicated employee. Outside of work, he enjoyed hunting, riding his motorcycle, and especially looked forward to his annual camping trips.
Kawliga was a loving and caring family man. His wife, children, and grandchildren meant the world to him, and he cherished every opportunity he had to spend time with them. The memories they created together will forever be treasured by those who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Krystle; his parents, Ricky and Justine Leverett; his sons, Zachary, Caleb, and Blake; his daughters, Haley Jennings, Elaine Elliott, and Lexis Leverett; his sisters, Tabitha Hardester, Pauletta Kendig (John Betz), and Savannah Leverett (David Loeffen); and his grandchildren, Anavrin, Preston, Blakely, Ameliah, and Rayden.
Kawliga was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his uncle, Lew.
