Kathy Ann Kollars, 56 of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at a local hospital.

Memorial services will be held 11:00am Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City with Pastor Merrill Muller officiating. Visitation will be held 10:00am Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave.

Kathy was born November 17, 1958 in Platte, South Dakota the daughter of Leo and Mildred (King) Gukeisen. She was united into marriage with Michael Kollars November 12, 1977 in Platte, South Dakota. Kathy and Michael moved to Sioux City. She worked at IBP for 18 years, and then went to Gateway where she worked for 5 years, and in 2006 Kathleen started to work for FIMCO and worked until her untimely passing.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, birds, having wind chimes around the house, crafting, and doing various outdoor activities.

Kathy is survived by her husband Michael, two sons: Chris (Taylor) of Sioux City, Dustin of McCook Lake, one daughter Jenny of McCook Lake, four sisters: Carol (Tom) Gunn of Sioux Falls, Barb (Al) Wilker of Kilkenny, MN and Lori (Ken) Troll of Kimball, SD, Teresa Lassiter of Plankinton, SD, one brother Jay Bult of Academy, SD, one brother –in-law Paul Olofson of Garreston, SD and four grandchildren; Skyler of Denison, IA, Paige of McCook Lake, Xavier and Damien of Sioux City, IA.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister Joyce Olofson.
