Kathleen “Kathy” G. Richou, 68, of Sioux City, passed away Monday, November 7, 2011. Services will be held Monday, November 14 at 10:30AM at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Erpelding officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be held from 4-8p.m with a vigil service starting at 7p.m. on Sunday evening at St. Boniface. Kathy was born December 31, 1942 to James and Lucille (Scalise) Anglum in Ayrshire, Iowa. She graduated from Ayrshire High School in 1961. Following high school, Kathy attended Stewarts School of Beauty. She later owned, and operated the Doll House Beauty Salon on Myrtle St. In 1964, she married Ron Richou, they had four children,and were married for 25 years. In 1984 Kathy began working at St. Lukes Hospital as a unit secretary until her retirement in August of 2011. Kathy had a great love for her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren. Kathy also enjoyed her pets very much and she volunteered for the Siouxland Humane Society. Kathy was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Survivors include her mother Lucille Pfeifer of Oak Harbor, Washington, two sons Doug Richou and wife Linda of Iowa City, Iowa, and Dirk Richou and his wife Shelley of Elk Point, South Dakota, two daughters Lynda Neal of Savannah, Georgia, and Dionne Finken and her husband Bill of Omaha, Nebraska, two brothers Roger Anglum and his wife Georgette of Oak Harbor, Washington, and John Pfeifer and his wife Becky of Columbia, South Carolina, three sisters, her twin, Jackie Meadors and her husband John of Adair, Oklahoma, Alice Robertson and her husband Joe of Pine Valley, California, Marian Patnode and her husband Gary of San Francisco, California, and five grandchildren Tara, Tiana, Alex, Hannah, and Jacob, and two great grandchildren Trinity, and Trew.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father James, her step-father Ralph Pfeifer, and her brother Romain Pfeifer.
