Kathleen Mary (O’Hern) Albright
Kay Albright, 73, of Sioux City, died on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at her home.
Memorial services will be held 11 am Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 am Tuesday. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Kay was born on November 29, 1939 in Sioux City, the daughter of Stewart and Haviland O’Hern. She attended St. Boniface and Heelan High School.
On December 31, 1955 she was untied in marriage to Ray (Albert) Albright. To this union 4 children were born; David, Jill, Ricky and Judy.
Kay enjoyed being with people and worked at Zenith, IBP and her favorite was the early shift at So Sioux McDonalds, where she made friends with her regular customers. She enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking (known for her pies) and most of all, spending time with her family and friends.
Left to mourn her passing, her husband of 57 and a half years, Ray; her daughters, Jill Burnight and Judy Robak of Sioux City; daughter-in law Myrna Creekmore Albright of Oologah, OK; adopted daughter April Blount; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer, John, Jimmy Robak, Deanna Burnight Scott and Chad Burnight; and 5 great grandchildren; Sister, Mary (Pat) (O’Hern) Ruge (Al) of Wathill, NE.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, sons Ricky and David; son-in saw Brad Burnight and sister Sheila Dunham.
The family wishes to express special thank-you to the doctors and nurses at the June E Nylan Center and to all the staff who visited from Hospice of Siouxland, especially Nurse Julie.
