Karen Edmondson, 73 passed peacefully on Thursday, April 4th 2019 at a facility in Primghar Iowa. Visitation for close friends and family members will be held at her daughter’s home in Sioux Falls SD. Ashes will be scattered over the bluffs at Bluff cemetery in Vermillion SD.

Karen R. Edmondson was born October 18, 1945 in Omaha, Nebraska the daughter of Clark Austin and Arlene Wilson. Karen moved to Sioux City, Iowa in 1951. She married William Edmondson Sr. in 1965. They worked and raised two children in the Siouxland area. In Karen's spare time she loved to sing and dance and also loved to draw. She had a special ability of making people see the brighter side of life. She will be truly missed.

She is survived by daughter, Carmen Edmondson and a son, William Edmondson Jr.; grandchildren, Ezekiel, Tia and Berlin; a great-grandchild, Julian; a newly found brother, Clark Austin, a sister, Sara L. (Henry) Smith; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Lorraine Johnson and her knowledge of family history.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clark Austin and Arlene Wilson; husband, William Sr.; 2 sisters, Iris McCallister and Pauline Thompson and a brother, Charles Austin.
