June Katherine DeVries, 76, of Sergeant Bluff, IA. passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020 surrounded by her family. Memorial Services will be 2:00pm Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Nativity Catholic Church in Sioux City. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

June was born August 2, 1944 in Greenfield, WI. the daughter of Randall Keith (RK) and Evelyn (Gibble) McWilliams. She grew up in Sioux City, IA. graduating in 1962 from Heelan High School. On February 8, 1964 June married Lou DeVries and to this union three children were born; Elena, Lou Jr. and Donald. They raised their family in Sergeant Bluff, IA. June was a bookkeeper for many years and an active member of the Nativity Parish in Sioux City.

She was very active with ceramics and for many years, she donated a full ceramic nativity set to the Sergeant Bluff Fire Department. June also enjoyed quilting. Her quilting group, "The Frayed Knots" has donated many quilts to the local nursing homes throughout the years and she also donated quilts to the Humane Society often. She enjoyed many retreats with her close friends and enjoyed her weekly swimming appointments.  June also enjoyed meeting new people and making friends wherever she went.

June is survived by her loving husband, of 56 years, Lou Senior, her children, Elena and Lou Jr. (Deana), mother, Evelyn, two brothers, Chuck (Joan) McWilliams and Dave (Gail) McWilliams;  two sisters, Debbie (Phillip) Dore and Carrie McWilliams, three grandchildren; Ashley (Andrew) Norby, Jay (Haley) DeVries, Kaitlyn DeVries; and four great grandchildren, Logan, James, Henry, and Adalynn.

June was preceded in death by her father; her son, Donald; and her granddaughter, Tiffany.
