Julie Gale Cline

Julie Gale Cline, 67, of Hawarden, IA, passed away surrounded by her family on July 17, 2026. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 22 at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation 1 hour prior at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. Burial will be at a later date at Logan Park Cemetery.

Julie was born on January 10, 1959 in Sioux City, IA to Robert and Edna (Bartling) Whitlock. She graduated from West High School and was united in marriage to Donald “Don” Cline on November 11, 1978. Julie owned and operated her own candy shop, Mom’s Goodies for over 20 years. Julie could never drive past a rummage sale without stopping; she was always up for a bargain.

She enjoyed doing beadwork, going to concerts with her daughter, feeding the ducks in Sioux Falls, going on car rides and traveling; especially to Chicago. She was a big animal lover and had lots of outdoor kittens.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Donald Cline; children: Jacob Cline, Sara (Tracy) Hintz, Jason (Kristy Cline, and Ivy Cline; grandkids: Jacob Lee Jr., Zachary Taylor, Andrea, Ann, and Cameron; siblings: Vicki (Mike) Whitlock-Warner, Holly Hilbum, and Russell Whitlock.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
