Judy Kathleen Ratliff, 73, of Sioux City, Iowa died Thursday, April 24, 2025, at her home. Services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Avenue. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.

Judy was born November 4, 1951, in Oakland, Nebraska, the daughter of Oral and Dorothy (Karlson) Peterson. As a young girl she lived in Denver, Colorado, and Proctor and Duluth, Minnesota, graduating from Proctor Senior High School in 1969. She moved to Sioux City in 1979, receiving her Nursing Degree from Western Iowa Tech Community College in 1983.

Over the years, Judy worked at IBP/Tyson Foods, John Morrell and retired from Curly's Food. She owned and operated a bowling alley in Alton, Iowa and in her retirement worked for UnityPoint St. Luke’s. Judy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Judy also enjoyed playing cribbage and doing jigsaw puzzles.

Survivors include her two daughters, Michelle Wallace of Sioux City and Milissa (Chris) Reyes of South Sioux City, Nebraska; her partner, Rocky Laird of Dakota City, Nebraska; two step sons, Corey (Diane)  Laird of Avondale, Colorado and Justin Laird of Moline, Illinois;  five grandchildren, Jensen and Jarren Wallace, Kristina and Jessica Reyes and Michael (Isabella) Searls; four step grandchildren, Audrey, Brenda, Adrien and Yuri; five great-grandchildren, Lucas, Malek, Thomas, Grayson and Alice; a sister, Kim Karr and many family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Sherry Collins and Nancy Maake.
