Judith Miller age 70, of Sergeant Bluff died Friday evening at a Sioux City hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday at Community United Methodist Church with interment will follow in Memorial Park cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Tuesday at the church.
Judy was born on December 18, 1941 in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of James M. and Evelyn B. (Rhyno) Allen. She attended Omaha Public schools and graduated from Tech High School in Omaha with the class of 1959. She was united in marriage with William Miller Sr. on June 7, 1959 in Omaha and this union was blessed with four wonderful children. The couple moved to Mississippi while Bill served his country with the armed forces. The family then moved to Sergeant Bluff where they raised their family.
Judy owned and operated Judy’s Place in Sergeant Bluff from 1980-1984. She then received her electrical journeyman’s license in 1985; she then began working with her husband at Bill’s Electric in Sergeant Bluff where she continued to work with her husband.
Judy enjoyed camping, using her computer, and spending time in her yard with her flowers and gardening skills.
Judy will be missed by her family which includes her husband of 52 years Bill Sr. of Sergeant Bluff, her sons, Jim and his wife Lana of Omaha, Bill Jr, and his wife Kelly of Sergeant Bluff, her two daughters, Darcy Miller of Sergeant Bluff and Kerry Funck and her husband Mike of St. Joseph, Missouri. She is also survived by three brothers: James and Jeff of Omaha, and John of Phoenix, Arizona, along with her four grandchildren and her two step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
