Joyce L. Rickwa, 90, of Sioux City, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Embassy Healthcare Center in Sergeant Bluff. Per her wishes, Joyce will be cremated and private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Joyce was born in Sioux City and attended Sioux City schools. She was the daughter of Earl and Agnus (Hogan) Rowley. Joyce married Tony F. Rickwa in 1947 and he passed away in 1998.

Joyce was a very kind-hearted, loving, and caring wife and mother. Family was very important to her, she loved spending as much time with them as possible. Joyce was also an avid reader.

Survivors include her daughters, Stella Switzer and JoAnn (Mike) Wilcox, both of Sioux City; seven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Ernie, Dean, and Jack; son, John; and son-in-law, Gary Switzer.
