Joyce E. Miller, 78 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Tuesday October 26, 2021 at a local nursing home.  Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, November, 6 2021 at Immanuel Lutheran Church Sioux City, Iowa, with burial to follow at Memorial Park. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Joyce Elaine Miller was born July 15, 1943 in Sioux City, Iowa the daughter of Richard A. and Gertie R. (Christensen) Anderson, she attended West Junior School. Joyce married Roger Miller in 1969; Joyce worked at Benson Building running the elevator, later working at Johnson Biscuit, The Aalfs Manufacturing, and Regency Square Care Center.

Joyce enjoyed a lot of things in life; sewing, baking, reading, gardening, and volunteering at her church pop stands. She also enjoyed watching her grandkids band events, and her granddaughter’s sporting events even making popcorn balls for all their teammates. She loved to bake pies and cookies for her family especially at Christmas. Joyce was infatuated with Elvis and collecting his memorabilia. Joyce liked to watch the show The Incredible Dr. Pol never missing an episode even watching reruns over and over. Joyce always remembered a story told to her when she was younger, that her sister Phyllis wouldn’t let the doctor leave when she was born until he let her look into his doctor bag to make sure Joyce wasn’t in it.

Joyce is survived by her son, Bruce (Jill) Miller of Salix, IA; six grandchildren, James, Justin, Kristina, Damian(Whitney), Vianna (Jordan), Kalyope and, fourteen great grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Mary and Pauline.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Arland (Irene), Glenn (Catherine), James, John (Bergith), Kenneth; and sisters, Marian (Arthur), Carmel (Robert), Joan (Ernest), Phyllis (Harold).
