Joyce L. Butler, 79 of Sergeant Bluff, IA, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at a local care facility. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, May 25, 2018 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave.

Joyce Lorraine Butler was born July 8, 1938 in Del Rapids, SD. the daughter of Robert L. and Agnes (Nold) Gill. She graduated from Sergeant Bluff High School in 1956. In 1957 she married Robert Butler in Sergeant Bluff, they later divorced. Joyce was a cashier at Sioux Harbor for 26 years.

She enjoyed shopping at the mall and hanging out with her former high school friends.

Joyce is survived by her daughter Julie (David) Masonbrink, one sister-in-law Linda (Carl) Gill-Kelso, a niece Robin Gill, four grandchildren Bobby Hike, Rebecca (Josh) Dvorak, Dustin (Jennifer) Hike, Jena Hike, and five great grandchildren Madison, Ethan, Matthew, Elaina, Jessy, and her significant other, Bill Richardson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one son Gregg Butler, and one brother Robert Gill.
