Joseph Jerome Snyder Sr., 65 of Luton, died Sunday, July 17, 2022, at his residence after a 5 ½ year battle with ALS. Memorial Service will be held 1:30pm at the Bacon Creek Park, Sioux City, Iowa. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Army.

Joseph Snyder was born on June 10, 1957, in Sioux City, the son of Richard and Mary (Richter) Snyder. Joe enlisted in the Army.

Joe was married to Joann who later passed away. Joe was then married to Elsie Juhl. Joe owned and operated Snyder and Son Painting, C and S Used Furniture and Uncle Joe’s Trading Post. During his non-working time, he enjoyed playing guitars, writing music, reading westerns, fishing and traveling around the country.

Joe is survived by his wife Elsie; sons Joshua Snyder, Bradley (Shandy) Boblit, Travis (Kaila) Stockham and Jeremy Snyder, his daughters Jennifer Snyder, Stephanie Snyder and Sherryln Barker; numerous grandchildren and his sister, Mary Christensen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Joseph Snyder Jr.: and a sister, Jeanne Robinson.
