Joseph A. De Leon, 41, of Sioux City, IA, passed away surrounded by his family on March 19, 2024.  A funeral service will be held Monday, March 25th at 11:00 a.m. at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

Joseph was born on October 23, 1982, in Guatemala to Carmen De Leon.  He moved to Iowa and married his High School sweetheart, Veronica Amezcua.  They enjoyed 28 years of marriage.  Joseph enjoyed fishing, gaming, watching movies and scaring people.  He was the best father, friend and gamer and loved spending time with his family, especially his daughter, Carmen.  He cared deeply for his family and friends and was always the person you would talk to if you were having a bad day.  Joseph had a very caring and kind heart, always making sure he knew how your day was going.  His music will play in our hearts forever, his memories and comedic heart will leave a permanent mark, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Veronica De Leon; daughter, Carmen De Leon; and sons: Joseph and Samuel De Leon.

He is preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Freddy.
