John P. Witkowski, 65, of Sioux City, Iowa died Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at his home.

Celebration of life will be held from Noon – 3:00pm Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the American Legion Post, 3901 Floyd Blvd. Sioux City, Iowa. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff.

John was born December 10, 1950 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Stanislav and Stefani (Wajkowska) Witkowski. He attended school in Sioux City, graduating from Central High School. After graduation, he joined the Army. John had owned and operated Witkowski Construction and later, Riverside Furniture Store. He married Kristin Casey September 12, 2003. Together they made their home in Sioux City.

Survivors include his wife Kristin Witkowski of Sioux City; son, Richard Witkowski of Sioux City; grandson, Brayton Witkowski of Sioux City; brother, Stan Witkowski and significant other, Sharon of Colorado Springs, CO; two sisters, Helen (Randy) Jandt of Sioux City and Christine (Al) Huisman of Sioux City; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Stacey Roberts; brother, Richard Witkowski and sister, Sandy Stowe.
