John A. Sampson, 68 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Monday, February 28, 2022 at a local hospital. Funeral Services will be held 10:30am Friday, March 11, at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave.

John was born May 17, 1953 in Austin, TX. the son of Johnny and Mary (Edmerson) Sampson. He graduated High School in Omaha, NE, after high school John enlisted into the United States Army. He married Helen Amy. In the 1990’s they moved to Sioux City where John worked at Fimco and then at Flasko as a welder.

He like to read and enjoyed golfing. John was involved with the AA, he was a sponsor to many.

John is survived by his partner for over 20yrs, Tina Mothershead, sons, Stevie Bradford, Brooklyn (Holly) Bradford, Brian Bradford, daughter, Mary Alice (Floyd) Emery, brother, Kenneth Huston, three sisters, Gayile Sampson, Joanne Sampson, Stephanie Huston, 7 grandchildren, Demetria, Francisco, Savannah, Seth, Adrinna, McKenzie, Armondo, one great grandchild, Sampson, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Helen, daughter, Nicole, and sister, Andrea Huston.
