John E. Bunning, 66 of Sioux City, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 in Sioux City.
Services will be held 4 pm Tuesday at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Avenue, with visitation from 3 to 6 pm.
John was born on September 28, 1948 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of John and Marguerite (Vondrak) Bunning. He attended Gehlan Catholic High School. Jack worked in the construction field most of his life, and during the 1970’s and 1980’s, he owned and operated JB Construction.
Jack enjoyed visiting and talking with people. He was a regular on many of the Siouxland Regional Transit buses.
John is survived by his son, John Bunning, Jr.; two daughters, Tammy Paradise and Tracy Best, all of Sioux City; Six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Yvone and her husband Jerry Fischer of Rock Valley and Marsha and her husband Mike Muecke of Hinton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Pat Fischer.
