JoAnne “Jo” Rose, 68 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023, surrounded by her family. Services will be held 11:00am Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the Lake Forest Community Center, 3700 28 ^th Street, Sioux City, Iowa.

JoAnne was born December 9, 1954, in Oskaloosa, Iowa to LeRoy and Frances (Stanbro) Terrell. Her family moved to Ottumwa, Iowa where she grew up. In 1972 she married Gary Wiseman, they moved to Kansas, and in this union, they had two daughters: Francee and Stacee. Gary and JoAnne were married for 12years before they divorce, but they remained friends. She moved back to Sioux City, Iowa where she met Bob Dorr, Sr. and four years later they welcomed Bobby, Jr. and Abbee. JoAnne and Bob were together for ten years, before they separated in 1993. In 1997 she started to date Daniel “Danny” Rose. Danny and JoAnne were married in 2010. JoAnne shared the rest of her life loving him happily.

She worked as a custodian at Morningside College and at Sunrise Nursing Home, where she made many great friends. JoAnne also had a in-home daycare. She loved to garden barefoot, go thrift shopping, and spend time with her family and friends. She cherished everyone she met.

JoAnne is survived by her husband, Daniel “Danny” Rose, son, Bobby Dorr, Jr., three daughters, Francee Wiseman, Stacee (Brian) Peterson, Abbee Schwedler, sister, Joyce Crawford, eleven grandchildren, Anastacia (Alex), Steven (Kyla), Courtney (Guillermo), Alex, Austin, Alyssa, Preston, Keagen, Aiden, Kayleen, Primrose, seven great grandchildren, Kaidence, Alexander, Aurora, Alizabeth, Christopher, Rhylan, and one on the way.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, sons-in-law, and a few of her best friends.
