Joan F. Sager, 67 of Sioux City, died Thursday, October 24, 2013 at a local hospital.

Joan was born on June 28, 1946 in Sioux City, the daughter of Glenn and Dorothy (Frisbie) Sager. She was a 1964 graduate of Central High School. During high school, she participated in the Junior Olympics.

Joan worked for Zenith and later with the Palmer Candy Company, where she retired in 2004. Joan was a avid walker. She was very fond of headscarves, and enjoyed embroidering. She was a very kind hearted person.

Joan is survived by three sisters, Gale and her husband Gerald Conrad, Glenda Fredericksen and Kay and her husband David Grover; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Carol Heckert, a nephew Guy Dawdy and great nephew, Tyler Dawdy.
