Joan Lena Berger was born July 12, 1936 in Dakota City, Nebraska. Her maiden name was Freeman. On July 7, 1957 she was married in Reno Nevada to Robert James Berger. To this union, one son, David was born. Joan and Robert enjoyed car rides, taking care of the highly loved dogs, reminiscing the old days, and friends. When Robert passed away, Joan never remarried.
She was always a house wife. She was a loving mom, daughter, sister, wife, and may God be with her. Joan was a mothers helper when it came to taking care of Jack, Sharon, and Tom. Her house was either spit-shined or pitched-out. Many good memories will exist because of her time with us. Joan was given many obstacles in life and was very courageous through this. She gained a lot of respect and assistance from a caring nurse by the name of Leslie Franco and the staff at Dr. Rod Dean and Albert Okine.
Joan is survived by her son David Berger; her mother Malvina Guinther her brother Tom Freeman.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband Robert Berger, her sister, Sharron and Donny Nickles, brother Jack Freeman, grandparents John and Dora Mattus, and stepdad Buzz Guinther.
