Jesus Armando Mejia was born on April 30, 1980 in Fresno, California, the son of Mireya Maldonado and Jesus A. Mejia, Sr.

He loved to play video games and drink a beer after work. When his family would get ready to go somewhere Angela would tell their eldest daughter Abrielle “Go show your dad how pretty you are.” She would run to him and he would say, “Oh yea, you look pretty as ma ma’s” and then just smile.

After working with his uncle Omar, he loved to just kick back with his cousins and Omar and play horse shoes or dominoes, or just goof off at Menards.

He was very proud to be a father, and he loved when people would tell him his 2 girls looked just like him. Mondo’s face always lit up when he would talk of his girls. Everyone knew and told him he was gonna be a good father because of his child like heart. Everyone adored Mondo Mejia. He was just so lovable. He loved his daughters Abrielle Elizabeth Mejia and Adelynn Renee Mejia. Mondo Mejia will forever be missed.

Survivors include his wife, Angela Tostado; his two daughters, Abrielle Mejia and Adelynn Mejia; his mother, Mireya Maldonado; his grandmother, Rogelia Maldonado; his brother, Gabriel Mejia; his aunts and uncles, Rogelia, Leticia, Omar and his wife Flora Maldonado, Sandy Maldonado, John Maldonado, Arnie Maldonado; and numerous cousins, who were like his brothers and sisters.

He was preceded in death by his father, his paternal grandmother, Pancha Mejia, his maternal grandfather Juan Maldonado, his aunt Maggie Mejia and his uncles, Wenceslado and Valdemar Maldonado.
