Jesma L. Nelson, 44 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Saturday, October 8, 2022, at a care facility. Services will be held 2:00pm Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave.

Jesma was born April 5, 1978 in Sioux City, Iowa the daughter of Terry and Diane (Connelly) Morris Sr. She grew up in Sioux City, graduating from West High School. Jesma continued her education at Western Iowa Tech Community College. She married Shannon Houck and together they had four children. They later divorced.

Jesma enjoyed music, art, animals, flowers and plants.

Survivors include her two sons, Darion Nelson and fiancé’, Amber of Sioux City, and Lucian Nelson of Sioux City; one granddaughter, Saoirse; three brothers and two sisters.

Jesma is preceded in death by her parents and two children in infancy, Leo and Khade.
