Jerry Allen Orr

Jerry Allen Orr, 74, of Sioux City, IA, passed away May 16, 2026 at a local hospital. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., with a visitation from 10-11:00 a.m. Friday, May 22 at Sioux City Baptist Church, with Rev. Quentin Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in McCook Lake Cemetery, following the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Jerry was born on July 25, 1951 in Sioux City, IA to Ward and Minnie (Betsworth) Orr. He spent most of his life in the Sioux City area. He was united in marriage to Gay Ball on May 21, 1974, in Sioux City, at the Sioux City Baptist Church.

Jerry enjoyed golfing, fishing, gardening, cooking (his famous vegetable soup and meatloaf), camping with his family, coaching women’s softball, and bowling, but most of all, loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Those left to honor his memory include his daughters: Inde (Nathan) Henneous of Sioux City and Jerri Lynn Orr of Sioux City, three grandchildren Independance, Alexis, and Dayton. His brother Wesley Orr of Sioux City, and many nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Gay, his parents, an infant grandson, and brother Ward Orr and sisters Nancy McKinney and Connie Streeter.
