Jerry LeRoy Fickett, 74, of Sioux City, IA, passed away August 4, 2024 at a local nursing home.  Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.  Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Jerry was born on August 7, 1949 in Bar Harbor, Maine.  He moved to Sioux City, Iowa at the age of 7.  Jerry enlisted into the United States Army where he worked as a wireman and as an electrical/mechanical equipment repairman.  He enjoyed scratch tickets, woodworking, reading the newspaper, reading westerns, and watching movies.  He especially loved fishing and his dog, Kia.

Those left to honor his memory include his son, Donald King; daughter, Tanya Caskey; and granddaughters: Shala VonAswege and Alexandria Conley.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
