Jerod Dean Ehmen, 34, of Sioux City, began his peaceful journey home to be with the Lord on February 12, 2013.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Mayflower Congregation Church, 1407 W. 18th St, Sioux City, with Rev. Dan Lozer officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service.
Jerod was born on February 8, 1979 in Sioux City, Iowa. Where he also grew up, attending Irving Elementary, Woodrow Wilson and East High Schools. Jerod found his passion through his great artistic ability as a tattoo artist.
Jerod deeply loved all of his friends and family, living life to the fullest known as "Big Crazy". Jerod's happiest moments were spent with his friends and family playing games, having get togethers, fishing, camping and rooting on the Huskers. He was the proud dad of four children, a daughter Haley, and three sons George, Jesse and Jonathan.
Recently Jerod celebrated many life milestones including reconnecting with the love of his life Stephanie. He was adopted by his recovery family and also became a member of the Mayflower Congregation Church.
Jerod is survived by his mother Deb (Mark), his grandparents Donna and Clair Chrestensen, the love of his life Stephanie, their son Jonathan and Stephanie's son Joe, whom Jerod loved as his own. His daughter Haley and sons George and Jesse. He is also survived by his sisters, Devan (Marc) and Carey (Sammy); and a brother, Nick (Jenny), his nephews Caleb, Carson and Jeffrey; and his nieces Kirsten Riley Nicci and Samantha. Many friends and his sponsorship family tree.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Dick and grandfather, Donald.
