Jean Rea, 81 of South Sioux City, Nebraska died Monday, May 20, 2024, at a local care facility.  A Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Waterbury Funeral Service in Sioux City.

Jean was born on December 3, 1942, in Sioux City, IA to Everett and Margaret (Geddes) Kellogg.  She attended Central High School and was united in marriage to Dennis Rea on November 21, 1959, in Sioux City, IA.  Jean worked in the home health services at MercyOne before retiring in 2007.  After retirement, she worked at the South Sioux City Walmart until 2019.  Jean was a member of Mater Dei Parish-Church of the Nativity and enjoyed traveling to Branson and going on cruises.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Dennis Rea; children:  Sandra (Stuart) Eickholt, Tammy Hilts, and Chad (Kari) Rea; grandchildren: Jeremy, Josh, Joe, Jerod, Corey, Danielle, Brianna, Peyton, Dawson, Addi, Piper and 16 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother.
