Jason Allen Kearney, 48, of Sergeant Bluff, IA, passed away surrounded by his family on June 9, 2025.  A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 17 from 4-7:00 p.m., with a service at 5:00 p.m. at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.  Following the service, there will be a time of food and fellowship at the funeral home.

Jason was born on September 15, 1976 in Friend, NE to Harley and Diane (Miller) Kearney.  He graduated from Crete, NE high school.  He enjoyed being outside, tinkering in the garage, driving his tractor, and gardening. Jason was a hard worker and had been working at DarPro for many years. During those years at DarPro he made great friends who he considered family.

Those left to honor his memory include his parents, Harley and Diane Kearney; step-daughters: Mia and JoJo; fiancé, Janet Wiener and her children; siblings: Hollie, Hannah, Kari, and John; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Michell, paternal and maternal grandparents, and aunts and uncles.
