Janet R. “Jan” Skinner, 76 of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff.

Janet Rose “Jan” Skinner was born January 23, 1944 in Yankton, South Dakota the daughter of Harley and Gwendolyn (Brewer) Llewellyn. Jan received her GED in 1975. She married the love of her life, George Skinner on November 28, 1988; he passed on December 25, 2014. Janet worked for the Sioux City lunch program, she coached the baseball team “Pixie Beauty Salon”, and she also did a delivery route for the Des Moines Register from 1975 until 1988. She was a manager for Wellington Court Apartments for a bit then went on to work for herself as a Domestic Engineer and a house cleaner.

Janet is survived by her son, Tim Hamilton, five daughters, Valerie Waagmeester, Sheila (Steve) Lambert, Rachel Reitan, Tonya Hamilton, Tammy Key, one brother, Harley “Butch” Llewellyn, a sister, Dianna Janssen, 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.

Jan is proceeded in death by her parents, husband, George Skinner, and one granddaughter, Jessica Minor.
