Jane Elaine Johnson, 70, of Sioux City, IA, passed away surrounded by her family on May 18, 2025.  A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 21 at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation 1 hour prior at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Jane was born on May 3, 1955, in Sioux City, IA to Robert and Esther (Trosthiem) Miller.  She attended school in Sioux City and was united in marriage to Hazen Johnson on January 4, 1983.  Jane was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan and enjoyed watching football.  She also liked sitting on her porch and listening to her wind chimes.  She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Jane would attend her grandson’s baseball games, traveling to Oklahoma and Arkansas.  Jane took care of her family, and she will be greatly missed.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Hazen Johnson; daughters: Teresa (David) Mesenbrink and Stephanie (Rich)Theeler; grandchildren: Eric (Demi) Mesenbrink, Matthew Mesenbrink, and Jax Theeler; great-grandchildren: Hazen and Maverick Mesenbrink; sisters: Karen (Carroll) Egdorf and Sharon Richardson; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter Judy Kay; grandson, Spencer; and sister, Judy Morgan.
