Obituary
James L. Reilly, 68, of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015 at his residence.
A visitation will be held from 4-8 pm with family present from 6-8pm on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Avenue. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Glendale Baptist Church and burial will be at Logan Park Cemetery immediately following the service.
Jim was born on October 12, 1946 in Le Mars, IA, the son of Thomas and Shirlee (VandeBrake) Reilly. Jim graduated high school in Sergeant Bluff in 1966. He joined the United States Navy on June 7, 1966 and was honorably discharged on August 12, 1966. Jim married Ruth Rezin on November 23, 1974 in Sioux City.
Jim grew up farming, and was a farmer at heart. He enjoyed reading, gardening, antiques, trains, tractors, animals, and cooking.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth, sons Dan (Ange) Reilly, Jon (Jennifer) Reilly, and Josh Reilly, all of Sioux City, sister Pat (Jim) Willems of Arizona, six grandchildren: Liz, Jeremiah, Danny, Abbi, Alaina, and Amelia, and a special cousin, Mike Reilly.
Jim was preceded in death by his, parents, and brother Thomas Reilly.
